Start and run a U.S. business from anywhere

You can build a U.S. company without living here. We form it, get your EIN, keep your books and file every U.S. return on time.

Founders outside the United States work with our office to form an LLC or corporation, obtain an EIN and ITIN, set up QuickBooks, and file Form 5472, pro forma 1120 and state reports.

International founders

A U.S. company, run from your own country

Non-U.S. founders can own and operate U.S. companies, but the filing rules are strict. A foreign-owned single-member LLC must file Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120 every year, even with no income, and the penalty for missing it is $25,000.

Our office handles formation, registrations, bookkeeping and every federal and state filing through secure portals, phone and video. English and Turkish are both spoken in our office.

Special needs

What founders abroad need, and how we help

The questions we answer most for international clients.

01

Choosing the entity and state

LLC or corporation, and which state, affects your U.S. tax, your home country tax and how investors see you.

How we helpWe compare structures for your plans and form the company, with a registered agent in the state you choose.

02

Getting an EIN without an SSN

Banks and payment processors need an EIN, and some owners also need an ITIN for their own returns.

How we helpWe apply for your EIN and help with an ITIN application when you need one.

03

The $25,000 filing

Foreign-owned single-member LLCs must file Form 5472 with a pro forma 1120 each year, and many founders learn this only after a penalty notice.

How we helpWe put your company on our filing calendar from day one and file every year.

04

Books that cross borders

Money moving between you, your U.S. company and your home business must be recorded correctly.

How we helpWe set up QuickBooks with owner contributions and related party accounts so filings are accurate.

Questions

What founders abroad ask us

Can a non-U.S. resident own a U.S. LLC?

Yes. There is no citizenship or residency requirement to own a U.S. LLC or corporation. You will need a registered agent and an EIN.

Do I need an SSN to get an EIN?

No. Foreign owners can obtain an EIN without a Social Security number. We prepare and submit the application for you.

What if my LLC had no income this year?

A foreign-owned single-member LLC must still file Form 5472 with a pro forma 1120 if it had any reportable transactions with you, such as the money you used to form or fund it.
