01

Driver files with gaps

A missing or expired document in a driver file can become a violation during an audit.

02

Dates spread across agencies

DOT, FMCSA and IFTA each run on their own deadlines, and owners track them between loads.

03

An audit letter arrives

When a review is scheduled, you need records organized and ready, not scattered across trucks and inboxes.

FAQs

Good questions.

Something else on your mind? Call 773-536-9272 and our office will walk you through it.

What is a driver qualification file?
It is the file FMCSA requires a motor carrier to keep for each commercial driver, with items such as the employment application, driving record and medical examiner’s certificate.
When are IFTA returns due?
IFTA returns are filed quarterly, by the last day of the month after each quarter ends: April 30, July 31, October 31 and January 31.
How often must I update my USDOT registration?
FMCSA requires carriers to update the MCS-150 every two years, on a schedule set by the last two digits of the USDOT number, and when company information changes.
Do you work with owner-operators?
Yes. We work with single-truck owner-operators and fleets, and keep safety, tax and insurance dates on one calendar.
